I'm a Top Prospect

Follow 6 players up till the 2009 NFL Draft

On Saturday, I went home to KC to see my family and friends with Jeron Mastrud and I continued to study. I drove back to Manhattan Sunday night and caught a late night movie. I got up pretty early and put in quite a few hours of studying the playbook and taking notes. The Jet GM and coaches then met me for dinner and then we went back to the football complex and had a chalk talk. It went pretty smoothly.
This morning, I met them at the football complex and we headed indoors. Their OC, Brian Schottenheimer put me through a half hour workout where I think he, the other coached, and the GM just wanted to see me in person. After that I thanked them for coming out and we parted ways. I hope they liked me as much as I liked them. I guess only time will tell.
Much love,
Josh Freeman

Josh,

As a die-hard fan of the NY Jets I really hope that you end up being drafted by the team I have rooted for my entire life. I think you would fit the offense perfectly and finally be the franchise QB we have been waiting for forever. Its great to read that you got along with the coaching staff and from what I've heard from the media up here is that they did like you as well. I have been doing my best to spread the word within the fan base, the Ben Roethlisberger comparison is a solid one and he was the third QB taken in the 1st round of the 2004 draft and has 2 rings. I'm confident that wherever you end up you'll do a great job, just it would prefer it to be with the Green & White. God bless and stay humble.

-Mike
