My Music

I usually do my own ipod on gameday and that can be real interesting. I listen to all kinds of music but predominantly rap. Anyone from lil wayne, 50 cent or jay-z. I like all kinds of music though and putting it on shuffle just to change things up can also be an option for me to hear rock or even techno. I like anything that will get me fired up at the moment and it varies all the time.

ILB vs. OLB. What’s the Difference?

I feel the biggest difference in the linebackers is the variety of tasks at hand. A lot of inside linebackers are more the downhill run stopping kind of mentality people. A lot of their game is stopping the run between the tackles and covering a lot of backs one on one in pass coverage. You really are the quarterback of the defense. Any line adjustments or varied play calls and strength calls depends on the mike. I was able to play a couple games of MLB this year and its great being in the middl… Continue

Who's My Biggest Competition in the Draft?

It's really tough to say who my hardest competition for the draft is. This year with the popularity of 3-4 teams it seems OLB and DE are a good position to be. There are a ton of guys out there who are very good athletes and being able to stop the run and rush the passer are two very important skills you need at this position. Hopefully I will be able to do everything I need to in these next couple months I won't have to worry about the competition and everything that is supposed to happen will.

My Combine Experience

Sorry for the delayed blog, it has been a crazy last few weeks. Anyways, here is how my combine experience went down. The trip started March 20th at 6:30 am, leaving from Newark airport to Indiana. The weekend consisted of a lot of trips to hospitals, getting blood drawn and MRI machines. The first day was more of an introduction and health/physical check up. The second day consisted of a lot of the same, now including meetings with team organizations and in my case seven hours of MRIs the night… Continue

hey whats good cush? great job at the pro day u, rey, and clay all looked great out there. i think what seperates u from them tho is ur work ethic. i constantly hear bout u doin what u can to be the best u can be and i respect that a lot. quick question! what type of specific workouts are u doin with joe and the other guys u train with? also.... i play high school football also, linebacker, and sometimes its hard to devote all ur time to training and lifting and all that. I was just wondering what u do to keep urself motivated to get out there and do it? anyways man im a huge fan and im praying the SKINS take u at 13 we needa guy with ur type of work ethic and determination!

btw... i rock the long hair too and im lovin the sleeve as the head band man great stuff.

Cush, you gotta update this thing man. How was the pro-day? looked to me like you boys all had some fun in the sun, mayock seemed to like it. If you can, let me know about your training day. Things like when you lift and do sparq work would be sweet to know. A teammate of mine - hes a plug - lifts at defrancos. If i snipe his defranco's program am i gonna be doing the Cush workout? Obviously your busy, but keep your fans in the loop big man. V Fight on.

Hey Brian thanks for all the good memories at the Coliseum!
My all time favorite was when you returned that onside kick for a TD against the Irish.
I wish my Raiders wise up and take you in the draft.
Fight On!!

Hey, I was just wondering what kind of influence your trainer Joe DeFranco had on you as a person and a player? You have been training with him since high school right? Best of luck to you in the draft and the NFL.

Hey Cush! You're my favorite prospect in this draft and I love your blue collar mentality. Keep working hard and you're destined for a great career. I hope my Bears find a way to draft you, however you should be selected before the 18th pick. If we do get you, you could team up with Briggs and Urlacher and dominate opposing offenses. Best of of luck.
